-NEWS-

(March 2011) - The new ep is coming along slowly. It’s a working progress but I think people will appreciate the new profound sound of our political rock music. It’s a huge change compared to our first works and also past few years of exploring experimentation between our style of political punk rock lyricism and the thrashy metal rifts of the guitar as created by Andrew. Still the band is having on going lineup changes. Were looking for a solid crew to make it all happen correctly. The next step after the completion of the ep is the actual full length which is being done in studio roughly in june but looking at expenses and all the work ahead of us it'll probably be sometime around mid fall of this year. until then we'll keep pushing on the ep to be complete so we can get it up online for people to hear.

(February 2011) - I'm happy to announce we are into work on an ep for the bands new sound. the ep will be a four to five track of some of the new songs were currently working on. Of course like a lot of the other demos we’ve produced we are doing this one by ourselves. Were just doing home recording using audacity so the sound quality isn’t going to be all that great. But even better news, after we release this ep we are going to hit up a studio and record the full length. The goal is to complete the ep by may and to hit the studio sometime in june. This album is going to be a bit more complex compared to other songs written from the bands past. The new songs were created to be more political then previous songs more lyrically involved so that they stood out more. The older songs were more up beat catchier and very simple minded lyrically. So were very excited to be producing the new music in hopes to pick up better then we left off.

(January 2011) - Hello, and welcome back to the crazy fueled mind of political punk rock artist Political Sickness. The band has been hiatus since November of 2007. It has been a while. Truthfully i never thought the band would be continued since it took its last breathe. After playing our last show in november Mark and Andrew took sometime off playing shows and focused on creating a new lineup. The next line up was Andrew, Mark, Scott and Derron. Scott doing leads on the guitar and new drummer Derron. The new material created during that short time period was very unique. The sound new and experimental. But into a few months of the new lineup challenges awaited the newly formed lineup. Derron ventured out to California for school, Mark and Scott roommates living down in Virginia were working more and it became harder to commute about an hour and a half every week, thanks to the rise in gas prices. Andrew stayed in Maryland up until the fall of 2008 then moved to Pennsylvania. So with everyone in a different direction and busy schedules it became clear the band would disband to go about each of their own ways. After parting ways there was talk about playing re-occurring shows every once in a while but it just never happened. So now after all this time the band is back of course everyone is still doing their own thing but Andrew is back with a new line up. Hopefully the new change will be solid enough this time.

(November 2007) - During these next few months we continued to practice with our new drummer Josh Sigler. We setup some shows to get ready for the almighty test to see if we were ready. Well Josh didn’t work-out we played a show with the help of one of my good friends Chris Stump he is the drummer for one of my favorite bands The Shortage. He helped us out really big time. After that we stopped for a little eventually we got back into the swing of things and picked up a new drummer named derron and another guitar with the skills of a jazzy classic rock soloist named Scotty. For those next few months we worked on our music but we all had our own lives and we were all busy working and all things were looking good but it just wasn’t working towards our way. Andrew moved to Pennsylvania and told the guys flat out it wasn’t going to work so we took a break. (October 2007) - Political Sickness is officially back in full swing. We have great news. We found a good drummer to join us. Josh is a great new addition to the band. We will be better than ever and we are continuing to evolve. We are planning to do allot but to keep things in check the next step we are taking is practicing for a while get a new set list together. We start playing shows again soon, also we will be busy working on a demo but this one is cheaper and it is titled "GRAY EP". The EP has new songs on it and it also features so newer rifts and powerful lyrics also with new sounds and styles of punk into hardcore, street, oi, folk, and more. We cannot wait to start up shows again and start getting things done that we have been planning for sometime ago. (September 2007) - Hello everyone bad and good news already. Bad news is Andrew broke his marshall amp head this last week and it sucks. But good news is he got a good deal on a better amp head and we love it even better and the sound is much better. Good news is we have decided to go back and remaster our demo called (DEMO 2007). We even are going to re-record some of the songs we were not satisfied with and add more songs to it. When all is said and done the demo will be re-released for purchase of $4.00 and you'll be able to buy it online thought our myspace, shows, records label and maybe some online stores. besides that we made new friends near the end of last month called the Side Affects. They punk rock hardcore and last month they put on a killer show with our very good friends THE SHORTAGE. Any who we are working with some people and looking to have a solid drummer soon. Within the next 4-6 months we will be playing gigs consistently in DC, Baltimore, Frederick County and more. Along with maybe a summer tour and promotion of other places. Looking forward for it all. Cannot wait so keep supporting? Oh and MFU is 15th in Frederick at the cultural arts center go see our good pals Corrupted Youth they're coming back with a enhanced lineup and they are back from break. Also Anti-wastoids will be their sounds like a good punk show to me.

(August 2007) - Allot is going on this month, Andrew got a girl friend and he is quite happy. The Shortage became our favorite band and our good friends. We released DEMO 2007 last month but we have been thinking about going back to fix some of the recording stuff to remaster it. It's only in direction mode and we are discussing it we will know by next month if it is going to be in the works or not. Other than that we are currently looking to work with local drummers around the age of 17-25. We need a drummer who is dedicated, likes punk rock uses pro-equipment. Works and has a job and can play drums good.

(July 2007) - Political Sickness is back with all new material with old material on a release of a demo titled: (DEMO 2007) it was released on their show back with originally two other bands Dead On Impact, The Shortage. Dead On Impact didn’t play due to some issues concerning their singer’s son. The Shortage showed up a bit late but the show went on and Political Sickness had gotten their equipment all wet due to some rainy whether down in the pavilion at ceresville mansion. Drummer Kevin O Brian left due to some personal issues. He was supposed to come back and play but he couldn't come back. So drummer from DUI Kyle Regan stepped up and helped us out. Afterwards, The Shortage played and they rocked. The band is now going back to add some new things on and maybe enhance some stuff if not dabble with some of the material.

(June 2007) - Got some good news for you all out there. Well Andrew is graduating from high school, it's about fucking time, this summer the band is planning on playing shows again allot more than ever. We also are going to try to get our shit together for once and get this long delayed demo or cd done. We own this website which is now professionally done by our very own Andrew Richardson. Things are looking good and set for the summer so if you’re in the area or if you want to book us a show or anything of that sort hit us up on myspace or e-mail the band at: Strikingdeath406@gmail.com

(May 2007) - This Month is looking well unpredictable. We are suppose to be booking a show at either Fletcher bar or recher theater down in Baltimore for our first big gig with some of our friends and their bands. Before I continue on we were suppose to also release our first Demo titled (Drunx & Punx) on April 30th and we have yet to release it we have everything done for it we just have been to busy to get it recorded by computer or anything to slap it on the CD's we have made for it. But we will release it soon we promise you all. We'll also start looking to play more shows and all we will see what happens but the band might need some new help. So we'll see... Keep supporting us and the scene as well.

(April 2007) - During this month things are slow we were going to work on a demo but we again are busy we have been working on new material and we are ready to record for sure soon and eventually be done with practices and start doing some shows locally. That’s about it for this month keep tuned for more. (March 2007) - Umm, This Month we got great news we will be coming back this month or next month for sure. We will start playing local shows again so if you want to have us contact us on our myspace. We are looking to possibly get one in for this month. If not because we are busy than we will defiantly start it up in April which is next month. So keep tuned because the new set list is out the sound is crazy good, and it's an old side and new side to Political Sickness which all of our fans and new seekers will love hearing. The demo is being worked on and should be cruddy recording because we cannot afford good recording but well do our best and have it out for April.

(February 2007) - Hello everyone this month has been our slowest and with the fucking snow we have been having troubles getting our practices in order but anyway we will be doing things soon enough we will know more about what’s going on for when it gets warmer outside and all. So we don't have much more than to say if you didn't already know the band is back with old line up of Andrew, Mark, Kevin so anyway keep supporting us and all of the other local bands in our scene.

(January 2007) - This month we have some recap for all of you. First off we didn't kick Kevin out, and he didn't ditch us the thing is we just all were set on other ideas and stuff Kevin talked to me and got out. So we are still are all friends. He might even come back and do some shows sometime once in a while and shit. Other than that we solved some problems. Got allot of the new songs published still working on the rest and we are hoping to record soon. It might take more time we need a drummer ASAP. Also we are in need of a female vocalist who would like doing punk rock and all and listens to punk rock / street oi influences. We are thinking, having a backing vocalist would be easier for Mark, and I since I have a hard time enough keeping up with playing and vocals. I am hoping it brings an awesome twist back into our music. So were just going to have fun and shit get this CD recorded soon and start playing shows again. If you don't see anything by Mid May we won’t be playing shows until summer.

(December 2006) - This month was supposed to be a good month for us it was the mark of our first year as a band. We also were supposed to play a big show with some of the local’s best bands. The show was cancelled do to miscommunication. The band had some problems with their music and the way it sounded. They thought about things and decided that they need to take a little bit of time to fix some more problems before they go to record their first Cd and start playing local concerts again. But even know they won’t be doing shows or anything big doesn't mean we are done. But we are happy to report we have joined the label of Lester Oi! Records their small independent label that just started about a few weeks ago. So it's nothing big but it helps promote and all.

(November 2006) - This month we got some news for our friends. Political Sickness is going on winter break and won’t be back until March 07. That does not mean we are done. What that means is we are recording our first demo with a bunch of songs on it. All new and old songs will be on it. During this time we will also be getting merchandise and other stuff. We don't look forward to asking our friends ("who listen to us whether you know us or not") for money. We don't believe in capitalism, so we will be working hard to produce the demo and all. (More to come soon)

(October 2006) - We were planning to play a show October 28th but we weren't ready it's been hard for our band to practice recently with everyone’s schedules being hard to match. So we aren't quiet ready for the show so we rescheduled it for a day we have off from school and all it's on November 6th. So hit us up and shit us might just cancel it though we aren't sure. But this is our last show for a while so hopefully the scene will fucking help out and support us like we support the rest of them. If not than that's great because our scene needs to be built up hopefully that happens soon because I see punk rock finding in Frederick County.

(September 2006) - Hey everyone it is September and we got more fucking news for you. Political Sickness is playing a show on September 9th at Kristin Beasley’s House and That will be our last show for a while because we got to fix some major issues so we can become a better band and all so we have to take a few months off for practice and getting everything completely down with our music performance and more. Anyway keep checking for updates, other than the information we have given we have more songs coming soon up on our myspace and there going to be all newer songs so like I said keep checking. This is a final note that I Andrew Richardson would like to throw out into the open. I don’t know we might make some minor changes or major changes but we want all of our friends and fans to stick around with us. if not its cool but we want you all to be there with us so help us out by sticking around its been hard without Thomas being here to help me personally but I am getting help on guitar from a very good friend of mine and he is teaching allot more than I thought you could do on guitar so soon I’ll be an even better guitarist and a true lead guitarist at that. Oh yeah one last thing check out this band called ("Corrupted Youth") they’re fucking awesome.

(August 2006) - This Month got great fucking news we back and better than ever with old neighbor and friend Mark Butman he is our new bass player and he is in for good. We will be playing shows again soon around September and we will have old and new songs to play. We will soon have t-shirts for sale and our demo will be out eventually... Yeah and we were just signed to Alley Rat Records. Cannot wait to get out there again and start playing shows. Hey everyone the band is back so don't think any different we will be playing shows again sometime in September we would like to announce we have a bass player who is consistent and dedicated and it will be hard to practice because of where he lives but the band is back and we will be better than ever with old and newer stuff so come check us out and hit us up about anything, we will have that demo out eventually the band is still alive and going on it's been tough but we are getting things back together so for those who heard we were done your fucking wrong... Your friends Andrew, Kevin and Mark (Political Sickness)

(July 2006) - This Month has been hard but things must go on it's been a long time thinking about life and the shit we live everyday but Thomas would want us to continue our band and everything else it might take some more time but we are still a band and things will go back on schedule. The First Demo which was named by me and Thomas are called Brothers and Sisters it will be out within the next 2 or 3 months. T-shirt designs are being looked at and other than this that's about it. Earlier this Month we have very bad news this news was local and than went national due to bad whether and all, Andrew: My best friend (Thomas Plunkard) is no longer living all I want to say is we loved him allot he can never be replaced in the band ever that even if we keep the band going after all of this. But I know he would want us to keep going. It will be an honor to carry his casket to the final resting place for my best friend and brother. He took a huge part of my soul and heart with him in fact he took something out of me that will never be in me again and that is my soul. For both Thomas and Mike White there will not be one day in my life again that I won’t think of those two in my life. As of now we aren't sure what’s going to happen but we have put our recording of riots on the streets up and this was the last bit of work me and Thomas did on the demo and all before leaving us. I hope to see him again in heaven someday I love my best friend Thomas and so does his family, friends, and Band Mates.

(June 2006) - This Month we have some crazy news. The update is that Alex Kaufman is our bass player, and it looks like this is the full group as of now and this is the original 4 piece of the band we attended to have. So the band is set, As of Our LP which is being worked on for recording we are going to start recording at echo studios sometime in July or August. After all is said and done we will play a few shows and than we will, do a small tour around Frederick County we will probably be touring with our good friends S.O.E (State of Emergency) they should have their first CD out during the middle of summer. So we might do a bigger tour than we are planning. Other than the demo news and touring we are happy to say we got a band manager it's MARK BUTMAN. Mark used to run Kashew Records and do allot of work for a Maryland Rock Band Urban Sombrero. So we are happy to announce and thank our friend Mark. Merchandise is one of our greatest things coming soon; The Merchandise will be coming out sometime during the summer because our original order went wrong so things will be all set to go during summer. So keep tune to our news there will be more June 06 News coming up real soon...

(May 2006) - This month we had allot to speak about and all we can say to start things off is we are working on recording demo s of currently we are playing local shows and getting geared up so when we buy this equipment we can do the demo and work on merch and shit. We have changed allot since we first started we still love doing Zombie shit and all but The guys and I feel we should move on to doing what we call Street Punk. As of right now we are playing all of our songs and all but our theme of Zombies and stuff are going to start to a fade a little bit we will keep the Zombie as a part of us but we are focusing on our true meaning. We would like to thank all of our supporters here in Maryland for helping us get mentioned and we defiantly thank everyone who has helped us in any. Currently we have other new Andrew's birthday is May 4th so happy b-day Andrew, umm Kevin is good and he is doing good, Thomas is a crazy bastard as normal and we are working with Ian. Other than that we have been talking with Jim Miner from Old Deathbystereo, he now records bands for a living and we are hoping for our first CD we'd get help professionally with a budget we are planning for and we'd go to Cali after Andrew, and Thomas graduate next year during the summer for 3 weeks... This Month was a blast overall our show at the Rotarian hall was awesome though again the PA as fucked up and Andrew's amp was busted up due to our transportation, so Andrew get something fixed but things were good...

(April 2006) - This month we have taken our sweet ass time working on this concert for the graduation project and we have been working on some newer songs. So if you go to the April 7th show we might be a little messy but we will get things together and be really good and ready for anything after May. After this show we might take a small break from concerts for a while so we can work on this like merch and demo and all. Also we will be working on a professional website also. The ZSPUNX will be helping us distribute the flyers for this concert on April 7th we would like to thank Mr. Frizzle and Victoria Frizzle for letting us use there house to put the concert on at. We would like to thank all of our fans for helping make it just to the point that we have played concerts and all and keeping the hype of the band up around the Frederick county area now we are being asked by multiple bands to play many different venues all around Frederick county thanks to our fans making it happen. I would defiantly like to thank our Friends State of emergency for helping us get on our feet for our first concert and same with ShadowMancer. Thank you and there will be more news...

(March 2006) - This month we have good news we have been happy about the turn out of our first show so we are happy to announce we will be playing another show soon sometime in April as the season picks up the show will also. Right now we are working on getting merchandise such as Buttons, Patches, and also T-Shirts and we will have prices on our website soon. As of the Zombies and Politics Demo we will be working on it during the end of March and if the 8 song demo is not complete we will do a shorter demo known as an EP which will only consist of 4 songs. Well anyway we are getting things in gear, so if you have any questions leave us a comment or if you are interested in e-mailing the band than send an e-mail to us at PoliticalSickness_band@hotmail.com and let us know what’s up we will reply to you back at our most recent convenience. we are planning to be ready for our next show and as of right now our next show will be 3 1/2 hours long us and 6 other bands each band will get 30 mins and than that's it. Anyway thanks for checking up and later. ALSO Hey everyone our bass player David is still cool yes he is our friend so no asking us weather or not he is not in the band anymore because I am going to state it once and for all David is all of our friends here in Political Sickness. David just has allot more going on right now than he though so you might see him do guess vocals for shows or something once in awhile but our new bass player is going to be our good friend Ian Borison so everyone congratulate him he is cool and we would not anyone else to take the spot other than him...

(February 2006) - This month we got great news we are getting our shit together and working on 8 songs we will be playing at least one show this month on the 24th for our friend Kathy who will no longer be around she is moving away to Arizona we will miss her but we promised as a going away thingy to show our love for her we decided we will play a show for her and it will be dedicated to her. We are currently looking for a new Bass player the one he had is to busy, and we just need someone with time and someone willing to do allot to get this band somewhere. As of 1-23-06 we found two people wanting to do Vocals for us and well Andrew is the main vocalist here but Andrew and guys decided they might want a singer so anyway they are testing two people out and if things go great than one of these two will be vocals for Political Sickness and well if this does not go so well than Andrew is going to stay at lead vocals also. At the moment we are testing out a bass player he is in middle school but he is Punk rock he got kicked out of school and now is rocking 24-7 so lets see if he makes the cut or not.

(December 2005) - Hey everyone let us introduce ourselves we are the Punk Rock band Political Sickness we are from Frederick County and we are a three piece band without a bass player but when we get one we will be a four piece hope to hear a good response from local Punk Rockers about us.
